I grew up in the great state of Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma, obtaining a BA in English of all things. I moved to Texas and taught high school English for three years before deciding (quite logically???) to go to medical school. I attended UT Southwestern for medical school and liked it so much I decided to stay for residency. The training and resources here are excellent, and I love the privilege of working with some truly amazing yet downright friendly people. In my free time I like to run, read, watch movies, eat out, cheer on my beloved Sooners, and spend time with my amazing, wonderful, fantastic, sweet, and loving wife and the newest addition to our family, our daughter, Lexi.
