A good systematic review of 23 large randomized control trials that compared tPA vs PCI for acute MI. This article showed that there was a 2% absolute risk reduction of death in patient undergoing PCI vs tPA. There was a 6% absolute risk reduction when the end points of death, non-fatal reinfarction and stroke were looked at for PCI vs tPA.
