The Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program at UT Southwestern is run through the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management, and open to Emergency Medicine residencies as well as Anesthesia residencies. The fellowship is a two-year program for Emergency Medicine trained residents. It is an all encompassing fellowship with exposure to various clinical sites including:

  • UT Southwestern Medical Center University Hospitals
  • Parkland Memorial Hospital
  • Dallas VA Medical Center
  • Baylor University Medical Center
  • Children’s Medical Center Dallas
  • Methodist Charlton Medical Center
Fellows have the opportunity to rotate in various ICU settings: 
  • Cardiovascular ICU
  • Medical ICU
  • Surgical ICU
  • Burn/Trauma ICU
  • Neurological ICU
  • Pediatric ICU
 
Two of our faculty are double boarded in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine and are amazing resources for all residents, and particularly those pursing a career in Critical Care.
