Interviews will be VIRTUAL in 202o-2021
The University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Hospital emergency medicine program will be conducting interviews virtually for the 2020-2021 interview season. Traditionally, we host our interview dinners at residents' households with food catered from local BBQ joints and favorite Texas beverages. The dinners are followed by a conventional interview day with breakfast tacos (a Texas staple), resident-led tour of Parkland Hospital, and several interviews with residents and renowned faculty. Our residents look forward to interview season as a time to interact with applicants on a personal level, connect with co-residents, and reminisce on their own interview experience that led them to UTSW. Although we will miss sharing this in-person experience with you, we hope to develop a comprehensive virtual interview day that displays all the reasons we love our program here at UTSW . We understand that these are unprecedented times and there can be a lot of angst surrounding the uncertainties imposed by COVID-19 on the interview process. We hope that making our interview process virtual will help minimize these uncertainties, ease the burden of costly travel, and, most importantly, keep everyone healthy. We hope to see you, albeit virtually, during the interview season! Please feel free to reach out to me for any questions regarding our program or the interview process in general.
